Colorado Mountain College in Rifle is seeking a part-time instructor (Adjunct Faculty) to teach Introduction to Translation and Interpretation (TRI-101) starting in August (Fall 2021).
The ideal candidate will be an engaging teacher with a dynamic approach to supporting diverse styles of student learning. The Rifle Campus prides itself on inclusive, culturally responsive approaches to serving our communities through building skills that benefit our local workforce.
Interpretation & Translation classes serve local community members who are bilingual (Spanish/English), including high school students taking concurrent enrollment college classes.
Applicants for this Adjunct Faculty position, at a minimum, should have a nationally recognized certification in interpreting for healthcare or legal interpretation, significant experience as a professional interpreter, and experience training others in interpretation. A Master’s degree in Interpretation & Translation or Spanish are a plus.
Preparation of curriculum, syllabus, and assessments is expected, and use of learning technology including the Canvas learning platform are required. Training and support will be provided.
